The sculpture of an animal at Gobekli Tepe, close to Sanliurfa. The photo was taken during a visit to Gobekli Tepe in 2008. Cropped the image a bit to focus on the interesting pillar. To the best of my knowledge it was one of the recent finds from Prof. Schmidt's group, when the photo was taken. Decided to put it online after it appeared also in a BBC documentary. JG Bennett; Gurdjieff: Making a New World - Promo

JG Bennett witnessed some of the most amazing changes in the political, social and philosophical structure of the world. From a remarkable meeting following the end of the First World War with visionary GI Gurdjieff and time spent amongst the Dervishes of Turkey, Bennett brought home radical new age thinking which would only find full voice in the closing years of the 1960s. He set up a new movement and teaching practice that might help mankind to move to a new state of consciousness and awareness - to fulfill their true potential as living beings.

Bennett was a polymath, free thinker and scientist. He was chosen for a seat on Ramsay Macdonald's government, offered the kingdom of Albania!, a share of the Mosul Oilfields, was a secret agent for the British in pre-Attaturk Turkey and is still regarded as something of a hero in the modern day state. Later he went on to create a new form of fuel for the Coal Board and his DRAMATIC UNIVERSE thesis still stands as a seminal work for many theoretical Physicists.
